BBC news is reporting this morning that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is going to be transferred from the political disaster of Guantanamo Bay, along with four other detainees, to the soon to be private dictatorship of Michael Bloomberg, New York City. He is said to be tried in a civilian court. This move towards a show trial is being taken by the Obama administration as part of their strategy to close Guantanamo Bay so that they can keep at least one of his campaign promises. No doubt that people around the world will rejoice and sing his praises whilst completely ignoring the true nature of the Obama motivation for closing the military base and prison located on the communist nation of Cuba’s southeastern shore.
Invalid under international law as claimed by the Cuban government of Fidel Castro, the US Naval base is maintained by the US under the implicit threat of force and the enforcement of a 1903 treaty signed before the regime came to power. The US uses this off shore base in order to detain foreign and domestic citizens outside of the scope of American law and without the moderately scrutinizing eye of the corporate controlled media. To say the least, the base and operations thereof have been highly controversial and universally condemned by all those with any moral conscious or political interests in attacking the US. No matter the motivations for their opinions, the shear number of those who are actively giving their attention to GITMO would dictate a strong benefit to its hasty closure. Of course, we will not close any other of the more relevant bases or offshore and domestic prisons that we use to detain, torture and otherwise evade international as well as American law.
This also comes as our liberties, freedoms and constitutional protections have been undermined to the point of impotency. That reality of course means that the trial will likely be fruitless and yield expected results. Although, it could be used as a way to revitalize the American and world people’s trust in the already broken system through elaborate means. Say if he were to be acquitted, although not likely, you might see people start toting it as an example of how the system still works. Just putting that out there. The point is that we will likely never know the truth about what happened aside from obvious nature of the false flag operation. Don’t expect to see any Saudi royal princes, ex presidents or vice presidents being implicated in the attack.
Even if it were not a show trial and somehow, mysteriously all of our constitutional protections were to be magically put back into effect, it would certainly be marred by the confessions obtained through torture. Even the CIA does not take these confessions seriously although they may say they do when it is convenient. Do not expect much in the way of justice.
When asked about the development in Japan during his showboating world tour, Obama stated that Mr. Mohammed would be put to the, “most exacting demands of justice,” whatever that means anymore. Just another in a string of meaningless sound bites from our dictator and chief, DaCrock Oblama.
From the Obamanation, this is M. Brown signing off.
